GRADE 3 SUCCESS FOR YOUMZAIN

Charles Lecrivain’s progressive mare FALAZE (Youmzain) gained her first black-type success when taking the Grade 3 Prix de l’Union at Vichy on July 17th.
A winner on debut in April, the four-year-old followed up with a fine second next time out, before finishing fourth in the Grand Prix de AQPS at Nantes last month.
Now ridden by Ronan Thomas, she raced towards the back of the field for much of the way and quickened well as the field moved to the stands side in the straight. Ridden to lead two furlongs out, she ran on well to score by three parts of a length, beating previous Grade 3 winner Fee Mano into second.
Winning trainer Charles Lecrivain bred and owns Falaze in partnership with Thierry Prod’Homme and Jean-Yves Binois.
