The ultra-consistent OH THIS IS US (Acclamation) gained his 13th career success in the valuable Sportpesa Handicap at Chester.
The Richard Hannon-trained bay was sent off favourite for the seven and a half furlong contest, with Andrea Atzeni holding him up in a field of 11. Pushed along to make headway approaching the final furlong, he led close home and ran on to score by half a length.
The win brought the six-year-old’s earnings past the £600,000 mark for owners Team Wallop. Bred by Herbertstown House Stud, Oh This Is Us was bought by Peter and Ross Doyle as a yearling for €110,000.
