YOUMZAIN FILLY MAKES IT TWO FROM TWO

The Joel Boisnard-trained WESSLY (Youmzain) made it two from two when taking the Prix Alain De Montillet at Les Sables.

Sunday’s Class 2 contest marked a step up in class and distance for the three-year-old, who raced towards the back of the field under Cecilia Poirier. The field quickened turning for home, with Wessly racing down the centre of the track to lead two furlongs out and ran on to win by two lengths.

Owned and bred by Fernand Krief, Wessly is out of the King’s Theatre mare Queen’s Ball, herself a half-sister to Grade 1 performer and producer Flawly.
